Yoga House truly gives me a tranquil place to step away from my daily worries by stepping onto my mat-- a
reminder that every day is a brand-new day. Sucharita's awareness of each student's level and limitations
means that she provides options in every pose, allowing your practice to be a personal one. With such an
attentive instructor, I know I can trust that my practice will be safe and injury-free, ensuring my journey with
yoga will be a lifelong one. She stresses to both advanced yogis and complete beginners, "It's not about how
you look, it's about how you feel." Yoga House continues to help me grow in my practice, become stronger in
body and mind, and reconnect with myself after stressful days. Yoga House coffees, teas, and special
lunches are also a delicious healthy treat after challenging your body in new ways! I look forward to
practicing with both old and new faces in what has become my home away from home in Kaohsiung.
Namaste.

It was just a little over two months ago when I was going for a jog that I heard a voice say, “Excuse me, do you want to
come in and try yoga sometime?”
A couple of weeks later, I was on the yoga mat three times a week and wondering when else I could squeeze in a fourth class.
I still remember the first day thinking to myself that I should be able to touch my toes, but I couldn’t. Feeling a little
dejected, I was reassured by Sucharita that in a month or two, my muscles would loosen up and sure enough, they did.
My encounter with Yoga has taught me to focus on going about my day while being more aware of what I’m doing at each
moment, whether that be eating a meal, chatting to a friend, writing an email, or practicing the tree pose in class – “living
mindfully” so to speak. This new mindset, although not easy to apply all the time, helps me to forget the past, not worry
about the future and enjoy the present, ultimately making life more enjoyable.
The small class sizes at Yoga House are great and the way Sucharita skillfully introduces variations to each pose allows me
to learn at my own pace. Relaxing and chatting with my classmates after class over a cool drink is a great way to start my
weekend, not to mention the fact that the young feeling I get when I can touch my toes is also nice.

Hi Sucharita and Michael and all,
I found it really differcult to write this testimonial, not because I didn't know what to say but because I had so much to
say.
I've always felt that my practice of yoga is enhanced by whether I feel an affinity with the philosophy of a yoga studio and
the style of teaching there. As soon as I stepped into Yoga House, I felt at ease and so knew that this was where I
wanted to train to become a yoga teacher.
Under the watchful guidance of Sucharita and Michael, I feel that doing the course has enabled me to grow infinitely in my
own practice. My eyes have been opened to how a subtle movement like the slight rotation of my arms combined with the
awareness of my breath can improve the way a pose is held and feels. Learning the variations for each posture has allowed
me to be able to help individual students whatever their level to achieve the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of
practicing yoga.
I feel that not only can I confidently teach yoga but I am mindful of ensuring the safety and comfort of all my students, in
particular pregnant ladies and the elderly.
Sucharita and Michael teach with love, openess, care, patience, encouragement and integrity. Also with a little dash of good
humour too which aides the learning process! The only downside is that the course ended and I miss the delicious lunches.
The homemade cheesecake has become a legend! But I've met some wonderful people and had a blast learning in a wonderful
environment.
Thank you to the both of you and to everyone on the course for helping me realise a dream into a reality. For inspiring me
to continue to learn.
Lots of Love, Peace and Namaste,

Hello Sucharita and Michael,
Thank you both for being such great yoga teachers. I will miss Yoga House and your wonderful classes!
I discovered Yoga House two months after my arrival in Taiwan. After my first class I knew I would be coming
back several times a week. Sucharita and Michael are teachers that emphasize the importance of the mind
and body connection in yoga. Their classes are challenging physically and mentally, but they are always
attentive to the specific needs of each student. My yoga practice flourished because I had teachers I could
trust to lead me through the various postures. On my first day of class, I remember laughing because some of
the postures seemed so advanced! But Sucharita is wonderful at breaking down the postures and helping
each student to do what their own body is capable of. She always reminds us that this is our own personal
practice. Yoga isn't about how much you can do, but rather about really feeling and meditating in each
posture. After months of doing yoga several times a week I feel stronger, more flexible and most importantly,
more peaceful and open. After every class I leave feeling happy, relaxed and excited for the day ahead.
Although I'm sad to be leaving Kaohsiung, I know I will continue to practice yoga with love and mindfulness
and I will never forget what I learned at Yoga House. - Kelly Weiner 2010
I am so happy that I decide to stay in Taiwan and take the yoga teacher training. For me, my adventure in
Taiwan has been amazing and being able to complete my yoga teacher training (something I never thought I
could do) in Taiwan has added so much to the experience. I have been living in an environment where I don’t
speak the language and I’ve had to feel my way through with open eyes and ears to understand what is going
on. I feel like Yoga House was the absolute perfect place for me to take this training. What I enjoyed the most;
you are both so down to earth, you’ve made it in such a way that I was bursting to give my opinion in class
which almost never happens. I am very very close with my family and just being around a family on the
weekend was special to me. Seeing Alexander in the morning or sharing Fathers day with you both is
something that other studios just can’t offer. You have something very special going on and I feel very lucky
to have been apart of it.
Thank you both so much for this amazing experience. It has been a real adventure to share it with such
amazing Taiwanese women (and little Priscilla)

The RYT200 training has opened my eyes. The simpler your yoga practice, the more rewards you will reap. Yoga can be
practiced by all people - from young to old to pregnant women. Yoga is one of the few exercises that can not be done
without a unified mind, body and spirit - total awareness and peaceful mind. The "asanas" in yoga can not go without
breathing properly - whether transitioning from one posture into another, or holding a posture. What I enjoyed most during
the training, was the fact that we did it in such a small group - only 8 students. Deep personal bonds were formed between
some, and we got to learn about everyone's bodies and how far they can go. It showed me how to pay attention to my future
students so that I will also learn about them and how I can better help them. Secondly, the "asanas" manual we received is
now one of my most treasured books! It is very thorough in explaining how to do certain postures, alignments, variations of
one posture, how to help a beginner, how to make it more advanced, what postures could be used as a follow-up, etc. Very
well composed! During the training, I learned that my mind is stronger than my body and that I am always capable of more.
I hope to share this with my students one day. On a more personal level I am trying to be friendlier to people, just because
in Yoga I learned the importance of spreading peace to receive peace (exchange of positive energy!). All my questions during
the training were answered. But Yoga always has something more to reveal and to show us. I know that if I ever learn
something new that I do not understand, I can go back to Sucharita and Michael and that they will help me discover the
answer. Many thanks to Sucharita and Michael. You guys opened my eyes to an ever-changing world. It will surely keep me
occupied for the rest of my life!
